7 Ecommerce Marketing Tactics that Turn Shoppers Into Buyers: Tip One

At Springbot, we share industry advice on eCommerce marketing tactics that help to increase traffic and sales in our newest seven part blog series.

Want more traffic and sales to your online store in the next month? Of course you do. That’s a given. And if you are like many online retailers, roughly 97 out of every 100 visitors leave your site without buying anything. That’s a whole lot of cyber window browsing and very little converting.
The fact is, you can spend a lot of money trying to figure out how best to attract visitors to your site and then how to convert those visitors into buyers. At Springbot, we decided to reach out to eCommerce industry leaders and share their advice on what they considered the most beneficial marketing tactics that helped to increase traffic and convert browsers into buyers.
Throughout the next few weeks, we will be highlighting seven eCommerce marketing tactics that you should implement to turn shoppers into buyers. Now on to our very first tip!
Tip One.  Implement a targeted Search Engine Marketing plan.
One of the first steps in getting online shoppers to make a purchase is to identify who they are. Seems simple but many stores do not know who their target audience is and how to create a plan to get their target audience to visit their online store. Our friends at Rand Marketing suggest starting with a Search Engine Marketing (SEM) plan.
Search Engine Marketing is the art and science of driving targeted shoppers to your online store. Every business should have an SEM strategy that’s been specifically developed around their products, target customers, and competition, in order to create sustainable long-term success. This strategy may include:

  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO), the process of improving your rankings in organic search results for targeted keyword phrases.
  • It may also include Pay-Per-Click Marketing (PPC), which can bring targeted traffic to your site through paid ads in a variety of places such as search engine results, banner ads on other  relevant sites, and even shopping comparison sites such as Google Shopping.

Contact Rand Marketing to get a free consultation and get a personalized marketing strategy for the success for your unique online store.
We hope that you found our very first tip informative and helpful. And make sure to continue to follow this blog series where we will be covering additional tips that help increase traffic and conversions.
